Message The biggest problem with "peoples choice" type shows is that the playing field is never level. It clearly is personal choice. Having now seen and judged a lot of the cars that traditionally win at Motorsport and have seen all the scores from the International Convention, there we a lot of Past Motorsport winners who "average" scores in a judged concourse d'elegance show. I wish I was closer to CA to do the Motorsport show. Since it is not a sanctioned show, I could have entered.

The important thing is the cars showed well. The next real test is Kingston.

: This is gonna be a "quick and dirty" writeup as far as mine usually go. I'm totally spent after being up at 3:30 in the morning (don't ask) :) I didn't take many photos anyway, but what I do have, I'll post.

: Here ya go:

: So I headed off to the MSA Show around 4am and got there just after 5am. They were just setting things up in the dark and NO ONE entering the show was there (big surprise...not). So I just parked my ass and cleaned the car in the dark for a while.

:

: As you can see, I made it in and got to pick my spot first. Not that it helped in the end LOL.

:

: And finally, all set up. Man, I just was NOT in the picture taking mood today...probably the lack of sleep. Sorry about the quality.

:

: Later on SpeedVision showed up...and totally ignored the Z32's. They did, however, take a group video shot of ClubZ's major presence (20+ cars to our 13 or so...damn flakers! I had more than 20 spots at my disposal!). Here they are setting up...why did I take a pic of this? I don't know...I was out of it. .

:

: I spent most of the day having DVDs play on the PS2/Alpine. If anyone doubted it's efficiency at gathering a crowd, they don't anymore. I had a steady stream of people stopping to watch 5-10 minute bursts of the movie. I swear, I'm bringing chairs and selling popcorn next time! All day long I was answering questions. Too bad SteamyZ wasn't there and didn't give me business cards because I had a friggen GRIP or compliments/questions on the kit (at least 40 people).

:

:

: Here's a couple of the notable things I saw (other than the rest of the crew's badass Z's...which I'm sure the other 4 cameramen have better pics than I).

: Words cannot explain....

:

: Bastardizing a Z 101. Class begins now...

:

: This car rocked. Clean as hell, Porsche big brake kit, awesome interior, you name it.

:

: Mmmmm, shaved :X

:

: Here's a few more of that Wings West/Blitz fabricated kit on this Z.

:

:

: So you thought they didn't exist, huh? Well APC has FINALLY made indiglo gauges for the Z. Don't know if they are widely available yet, but a friend might be posting in For Sale a G.B...we'll see.

:

:

: The day ended with none of us winning anything. Given that the lot of us were only in 2 catergories (Z32 Stock and Modified), it wasn't much of a chance. With ONLY First Places being announced, there was no second best. The sad thing is, the modified Z that won had NO BUSINESS winning. When he was announced, the group of us at the podium let out a simultaneous "Who!?". When we found out, we were shocked. Between KingRamna's (Jomo) badass chromallusion Z with 25K+ into the engine, qqqqqqqqman's absolutely stunning Z and the various others there, I couldn't believe this Z won. Worn interior, a few body kit pieces, no stereo system and all it claimed was "Daily Driven Stage 8 Z". Maybe he had lots of friends voting!? Sheesh, even *I* should have beat this guy. Some guys were guessing it was location since he was right at the entrance though. Who knows! At least we had tons of fun...and I got my 350Z
: press kit I've been wanting for months!

: Here's what should have won...
: qqqqqqqman

:

: Here's what did.

:

: Afterwards, we all went to eat nearby. I remembered this place well beacuse last time I was here I laid down the "Artistic Donut" as Mike (La Canada) put it. It was a mean little double set spread apart like a figure eight. So this time we had lots of video going...they egged meDBD::ODBC::db prepare failed: (DBD: st_prepare/SQLAllocStmt err=-2) at incl_db.pm line 314.
on and I couldn't dissappoint! Check it out! That's CaughTT running to move his car in fear LOL!

: Donut Boy

: And a pic of the aftermath. My car is running SO nice...couldn't believe my automatic burned all the way down the side and was still spinning enough to lay down another set further down (after the video ran out).

:

: Anyway, that's it for now. LOTS of people took pics and video...so you shouldn't be dissappointed! Sorry I couldn't write more and discuss things in detail...but I'm gonna down a Bass and catch some Z's.
